Mother’s Day celeb…late post

…nakalimutan ko sa draft, haaay getting old and ….pretty.

Sunday morning we went to Jollibee with kids. As I promised them a breakfast and then went to my mothers house to greet her and hand her a plant known as welcome plant as a gift. We just rode a tricycle going to places, you know naman I still don’t have the license to drive the car. Medyo mainit nga lang ang weather and still it cost us almost two hundreds bucks for the transporation fee, ang mahal ha? Calling my beloved mister, please enroll me na to a driving school, please..

My kids saw chicks at the bangketa selling for only 15 pesos each. As usual, we bought one as a pet. They named it Toweetee Bird. Hmmm, sound familiar, ha?

for nanay...I wasnt able to take picture of what we got, thanks to google...

After kina madir, we went to my sister’s house which is also within the vicinity of the subdivision. I copied some movies at usb and went home after.

Kids enjoyed the morning breakfast, the travel, the new pet and the movies I saved.

I cooked Sayote with Gjniling for lunch and dinner na and our merienda is just a Chiffon cake I bought at SM with matching cold calamansi juice to match.

It’s kind of a normal day for me. Gets tired after the household chores, thinking of what menu will be for the next meal, letting the kids to play, feeding the dogs and ironing. Yeah, I have helper but since she’s just new to us, I don’t let her do all the duties at baka mag alsa balutan agad.

And worst things happened at night. My two kids get sick. High fever and feeling cold. Oh my, the Mister is not around but good thing I always have paracetamol at home and the fever subside for awhile. Continous wipping with cold water helps also. I don’t want to get panic agad kasi as per my pedia it should be 2-3 days mas magandang ipa laboratory para yung results is much clearer to read. Baka kasi viral lang.

Hope my kids to get well soon.

So, that’s it.

No fantastic celebration happened but the bonding moment with kids is just one of the best gifts I’ve received on this special event.

Adios for the meantime…

(after 3 days the fever of my kids are already gone, God is good!)

Food Craving...

This bottle with white liquid inside is made of pure Guyabano extract. Yeah, and I bought it to my “inaanak sa kasal” who is also currently working here for only Php 180.00. This miracle fruit was freshly made in Los Baños Laguna. Ang galing ng nag create nito, bravo!

We all know that Guyabano or Sour sop fruit can fights cancer kaya I’m so lucky to have this at home. Medyo expensive nga lang din if we like to have this available lagi sa house. Anyway, aside from this wonder fruit, in which we don’t always have though, I always make sure that we also have ponkan, apple, grapes and banana on our table para balance din. Pero di sabay sabay na meron, kung ano yung mauubos dun lang ulet ako bibili ng exact quantity for us para di mabulok.

Yummy to drink when cold plus the tangy taste it has.

Go for the gold na ‘to, be healthy and pretty.

Just drink Guyabano!

Next in line is this Campbell’s Instant soup I found in a market last week. One box cost us 80+ something ata. They comes in three sachets per box and you just pour hot water in a cup and viola! Ready to eat na. Verdict? Yummy rin and a little bit salty but creamy pa rin. Nothing compares to a cooked soup via stove. The best thing about this is you can have it in a drawer and eat anytime without the need of any cooking utensils.

Instant nga eh, ang kulet ko talaga.

Try nyo na lang din.

Lastly, Moms Haus of Mushroom from Bulacan. The most crispy, delicious and healthy snack my kids love to eat. Di na ko tinirhan...

We were in Malolos last week and while we are eating ice cream at 7-11, a bookstore nearby caught my attention. We went inside and this nutritious chips made of mushroom is at the cashier. I grabbed one which cost us I think 120 bucks. It tastes good ha. Not too salty.

I wasn’t able to take note where in Bulacan ito pino produce pati yung telephone numbers, haaay. Anyway, I’ll ask na lang my hubby to buy me again this tomorrow there. He visited my in laws today.

That’s all for now, guys.

Happy eating!

He's 10 na...

My son turned 10 last month. And we're able celebrate it with simple menus and with in-laws who travelled pa from Bulacan all the way to Laguna. Although gifts is not that too many, an all out smile on his face during the celebrations is priceless. He was overwhelmed with the ice creams, cake, monay bread and spaghetti. He is also happy because of the guests we have, his lolo, lola, cousins and tita’s.

Of course, we parents do like to have a big party for our kids. But we also check our budget and the priorities that needs to settle first. We opt to a simple and small celebration wherein kids will surely enjoy.

And now, big boy na si kuya.

Thank God for everything.

Enrolled atlast !

The budget for the tuition fees and books are already in our hands two days ago. And yesterday, we were able to enrolled them as early as 8am, at baka kung saan pa mapunta and maglahong parang bula. We were dressed in our office uniforms kasi we will report pa rin sa office afterwards. As we enter the school, only a few people are there. The new process on how to register new comers and old students are clearly printed on a white sheet of paper and posted on each widows where anybody can see it. Good job.

I don’t know in public schools ha pero in a private school its so easy na to enroll the kids. Naka system na ang computers nila kaya no long lines that will irritate you.

The ladies in front of the window are also settling the tuition fees of their kiddos. I hear pa nga dun sa isang nanay na me balance pa siya last school year kaya need muna nyang i-settle before mag proceed sa next step. Hindi madali ang mag earn ng limpak limpak na salapi, we need to shred more sweats and blood sa work just to give you a bright future.

Not only that, yung books! Bakit nuong time namin, private school pa kami ni Mister nag aaral ha?, the books used by the higher year eh pwede pang gamitin ng next year level. Of course, di kasama yung work book dun. And now, every year na lang bibili ng BAGONG BOOKS cost ranging from 5k-6k per level! And now, this is the time na ipasa sa congreso ang ganyang batas, laking tulong nyan sa mga magulang. Calling all the senators, paki review nga po.

We always tried to think the best way to save everything but apparently the situations of a daily living is getting worst nowadays. Palaki ng palaki ang gastos.

Haaay buheeey…

After that, we dropby at a small tapsilogan eatery. We also talked about the kids, school and their upcoming college years. We’re excited naman but still the nervous are still nasa katawan pa rin. Syempre, we parents want the best school and course for their kids, if the budget allows. Wish lang namin school for them are Ateneo, La Salle or UP. Libre namang mangarap di ba? Sagarin na.

So while it is still early, save save na and need maging healthy para continous ang work work work…

And lastly, happy pa rin kami kasi we were able to settle the obligations at school.

Tomorrow is Mothers day…

The dark cloud is engulfing the sky and a loud thunder was heard while I was typing this. Yeah, still at the office and working on some papers that needs next week. My kids are in the house with their yaya while the Mister is miles away from home with his buddies, exploring the town of Sorsogon since yesterday afternoon. He’ll be back on Monday.

And tomorrow is Mothers day.

Will celebrate it with my kids alone. I promised them to treat a breakfast at Jollibee tomorrow morning then go home after.

Ever since I experienced being a mom, and this kind of event once a year passed by, I wasn’t able to treat myself with a reward that I like. And now, I am making a list for myself on how to treat it with a delight.

·        Massage, spa, hot bath and facial treatment
·        Shopping clothes
·        Buy new things for the  house
·        Eat in a fancy resto with loved ones
·        Long day in bed, sleeping
·        Lunch date with siblings
·        Making a new dish

Some of it is magastos, while others just need time and space for myself. It’s just a one day request from a mommy like me who happened to work 24/7 for my loved ones.

And the best gift that I will surely treasure all my life are the smile and hugs from my kids.

To all mommies out there, lemme great you in advance…

Happy Mothers Day!

Hooray to us, mommies!
