Last week, when I entered our bathroom to do my
nightly rituals before going to sleep, my toothpaste is nowhere to find. I
shouted at the back of the door asking everyone about it. And my eldest
daughter told me that she put it already inside her travelling bag.
Oh, oo nga pala. She will be
attending an overnight retreat on Monday in Tagaytay, a requirement in school.
Super excited ang junakis ko, teka teka..it’s only Wednesday and all her bags
are packed na! excited nga…
She’s worried a little because
they were told that a checker might see their undergarments during inspection.
I told her that it is fine, it’s their duty to do that for security reasons.
She’s very “manang” talaga. She don’t like wearing short shorts, short skirts
and sleeveless.
It will be her first time to be
away from us and we know she will discover more outside her comfort zone and we
kept on praying that she will keep only all the good things she will encounter.
When Monday comes, the mister
drops her to school to join the others.Naku, lahat ng bilin sinabi ko na.

That night I can’t sleep na. I was
worried so much. I texted my husband who was at the gym that time asking what
if N can’t sleep and feels uncomfortable with the others there. He texted me back not
to worry too much, that she’s in good hands naman at baka lalong di makatulog
yung bata sa kakaisip ko.
Okay, okay..tutulog na ko.
The mister again picked her up
the following day at school. I was so excited to see and hear all her kwentos!
When I got home, daming kwento!
And she also bought these…
pie ube flavor...yummy! |
She’s just an 11 year old kid.
Worried? Nope…but a proud parent
I must say…Big girl na.
Thank you Lord for keeping her safe all the way.
Amen...
