Office Table...

I have a very large table at the office. Sure it is becoz I have two telephone lines one with a fax machine, a two-way radio, modem, a printer, monitor with keyboard, coffee mug, mirror (I will die w/o it!) and tons of papers. It has six drawers and brown in color.
Our janitor wasn’t able to clean it daily. The workload he has is very understandable. Aside from sweeping the floor and cleaning of cr’s, he is also assigned to do other task. So to lighten the burden of this minimum wage earner, I’m the one who usually do the cleaning and re-arranging of knick knacks of my office table.

And I used this with a clean rug.

Cleaning your work area once in a while helps your mind clear out some negative vibes. It leads you to a different level of relaxation too. It also improves to sharpen your memory.

How?

When you clean, some items that are stuck there for a long time in a drawer will popped out and refreshes you telling that they are still there, ready to be used.

Nakaka gulat minsan.

Yun nga lang, after that and begin to work na, in a minute or two gyera patani na ulet ang mga gamit ko. Galit galit na ulet ang peg.

Pero atleast I was able to clean it first.

Ganun talaga, parang life lang yan. Maayos at biglang gugulo.

Then aayos ulet.

Tapos mag lilinis ulet…then magugulo ulet.

Gets mo?

Bisita Iglesia on Maundy Thursday...(super late)

A very looooong overdue post...
Holy Week pa pala to, tsk tsk. Anyway, post ko na rin, enjoy lang...

Every year the hubby and his buddy who happens to be our neighbor too, are planning a Bisita Iglesia in Laguna. Our first travel happened 2 years ago and It was good visiting churches and pray at every station. Seeing old churches are quite a history refreshing for us. Gaganda ng simbahan natin, promise. Parang nasa ibang time zone ka.

And last week,  Maundy Thursday, we went again to Laguna to pay a visit to old churches again and meditate. Our first destination was in Mabitac,  Laguna.
Second is in Siniloan then in Famy, Laguna. After that we went straight to Paete then in a nearby church there wherein I forgot the name. In Pagsanjan church, we happened to see our old friends there from Manila. After the chikahan and kumustahan our last destination is in Majayjay, Laguna. It’s almost dark when we reached the church. There we finished the last station of the cross while the mass is ongoing.

There’s a nipa hut that surrounds the area wherein visitors can use it in eating or just to stay there and rest. No electricity installed per nipa hut so we opt to buy candles for us to eat our dinner there.
I thank God for this wonderful day we had with families and friends. We were able to finished the station of the cross nearly 7pm that day. Though it's very tiring and hot weather makes us famished and irritating every minute, we're glad me make it.

Here are some of our snapshots...

Lunch Time

Next year? well, we're trying to figure it out first where muna, maybe in Batangas naman...sana...tapos swimming, hehehehe...

Foodie by Me...

Lately, I was inspired to cook something new to our taste or which I call a menu that is not usually prepared and served by us.

First, I tried to cooked sinangag with a twist. Normally, our sinangag is just a mixture of bawang and fried in cooking oil, that’s it. I bought crab paste and corn and carrots mix and do the wonder one Sunday morning.
Yeah I know, this is just an ordinary dish to all with all the mix mix, pero sa katulad kong bibihirang magluto, ay nakow, jackpot to...

Kids enjoyed the taste and the new presentation I did.

The other day, a left over sardines naman. I mixed it with egg and while frying I put some cheddar cheese on top. Viola! Yummy pala pag me cheese. Kids love it.
Last week, tortang eggplant with cheddar cheese ulet.
Di kaya mag LBM kami sa cheese?

Ah basta, it taste good naman eh. As long the kids love to eat what I’m cooking, gora lang.

Hmmm, Sunday?

I’ll try to cook crispy potatoes for snack naman.

Good luck to me…

Flu Vaccines...

Yearly we let our kids to get a shot of Flu Vaccines just before their classes starts. It helps their immune system fights any respiratory infections that usually happens during cold season. It cost us one thousand bucks each but we are very thankful with the effects on it to our kids. Flu can be a deadly serious if it leads to complications like pneumonia.

And last May, just before we went to Bulacan that day, we were able to get a flu vaccine medicine from Mercury Drug. They offered a big discount for the medicine including the administration of the shot by their company doctor and nurses.

From 1,200 pesos to a private clinic it goes down to Php 495.00 na lang.

Yeah, jackpot!

And to think that Mercury drugs don’t sell medicines that’s beyond their standards, laging safe kaya we felt panatag and happy with the savings.

Next year?

I will surely ask this drugstore about their schedules and other vaccines they will offer pa.

Okay.

Stop for a moment...

News spread around here that they are offering an early retirement to regular employees. Of course, I didn’t grab the chance because I still want to work and need to support my family. Some of my colleagues took this chance and said goodbyes to us. We were not affected when it comes to the additional workload that will leave to us, they manage to distribute and let others filled the vacant position. The presence of those who are leaving didn’t affect us also. We don’t have grudges nor misunderstanding with them, it’s just that we were all occupied and busy with our work and didn’t feel loneliness in saying goodbyes.

Life must go on.

No matter what.

But then one day, while I was walking inside the plant and my mind was juggling with to do’s, someone grabbed my hands and I stopped, surprised.

Oh, its one of our workers here.

He kept on holding my hand and said “Mam, please take good care of your husband, I know he’s highblood and take notes of all the meals he’s gonna take”.

I was a bit shocked at first. I was looking at his eyes, can’t speak any words while my eyes is asking why are you saying these to me look.

I was about to open my mouth then when he said that he also avail the early retirement. I ask him how old he is and said 56. I was a bit confused again why on that early stage he’s gonna do that.

Then he’s making kwento na about his life, his kids are already graduates and working na, he feels tired with his daily routine in this workplace and to venture business with the amount he will gonna receive.

We said goodbyes.

As I turned my back and walked away, sudden feelings of loneliness spread my entire system. I never thought that saying goodbyes to an old friend won’t matter to me anymore.

I still have this emotion pala. I thought I’m goddam good in controlling everything inside of me. I’m matured, brave, knows how to handle different situations and the sensitivity is lost already.

I’m still human pala.

Now I’m back on track that had vanished somewhere else.

An angel in disguised is what I called him. He touched the innermost part of my heart, that’s why.

Thanks to you…
