Christmas Decors...

Uy, uy, uy Christmas is just a stone away and it is already a tradition to us to decorate our house each year. Before, when month of September starts to step in, nag dedecor na agad ako sa bahay. I was able to do it in 6 years pero after that na move na ng na move ng November after Halloween.

Tuma thunders na…

Over the years, I was able to collect decors from tiangge, malls and bazzars kaya this year wala namang bago or na add. I just make some changes on areas and blending of ornaments kaya medyo parang fresh ulet ang looks.

I’m thinking to have a Christmas Village next year. Ang ganda kasing tignan, nakaka emote.

And also a Nut Cracker…ang gwapo kasi...

Yummy Treats..

This was a pasalubong by the Mister and it is soooooooo yummy!
I was able to eat a pack of it in seconds, ganun kabilis. It is not the typical tikoy you will see on store because of its delectable taste and with different flavor pa.

Another yummy treat that we were able to taste is this milk chocolate biscuit bar from M&S. A gift naman from my boss in North area. Thank you!

Sira ang figure pero happy tummy!

Gift of Giving...

image from google
The best part of Christmas is when you share your blessings to less fortunate people. And it’s true. No amount of money will take place in your heart when you know out there that a person needs our help. It happens last week, buti na lang me extra kami.

And take note, it should not be only happens during this season dapat. All through out the years, tulong tulong din.

No matter if it’s big or small, as long that it is from the bottom of your heart, let us do our part.

Share…

Own Bed and Space...

When we are starting to dream our own house, we make sure that kids will be having their own room. Even we have a small space, we manage to have their own freedom. Pero we make a rule that they can use it when they are in college na, he he…ok masyadong harsh yata, pag high school na sila pwede na silang mag move in.

Right now my eldest daughter is in Grade 6 and for three consecutive nights she was able to sleep in her own room all by herself! She asked us naman if she can sleep dun. We’re hesitant at first to grant on her request…double deck kaya yun share sila ng youngest daughter ko and yung top portion ang kanya. Pano kung malaglag? Waaah.

The second night we tried to convince her to sleep with us at the our bedroom. Ayaw pa rin, very excited lagi sa room nya.

Big girl na nga “sniff, sniff”.

So I tried to wake up every 4 hours to check her. We don’t let her closed the door. And she sleeps soundly.

I can see the enjoyment in her face. She wakes up ahead of me and manages to take her bath, eat alone and do other morning ritual without my supervision. She arranges her things neatly and cautiously. In a few years, fully dalaga na to. She also found her niche as ate to her siblings. Mature na rin mag isip.

Okay, it’s hard for us parent to be separated to our kids but it is still the best thing to consider. We hope she will become more independent, responsible and hone her skills in every decision she will make.

And STILL they need the guidance of us parents’ pa rin.

That’s it.

Cooking...what?

We all know that I’m not that good in cooking. I tried my very best to cook every Sunday for our breakfast and lunch while our original cook, the mister, is on his scheduled getaway with friends.

Sometimes when I do some listing of goods needed to buy for my Sunday adventure at the kitchen, I end up with something that is easy to prepare. I’m just scared to ruin all the ingredients, that’s why.
kangkong and kalabasa...great combination?!?!?
parehas namang letter "K" start ng word nila...so pwede na yan!
I also have a cookbook and a list of menus I wrote on my notebook. I’m also watching cooking shows on a tv and write as fast as I can when they flashed menus on screen.

No idle moment. Everything is moving. Everything must accomplish in just one swept.

Kaya lang I get envious when I saw mommy post about their yummy foods on earth! And I felt bad when the mister commented negatively about my masterpiece. Walang ka support support, hmp!

But now, I will make a pact to myself  that I must take an extra effort in cooking simple dishes like tom yum soup, kebab, pineapple rice, ala carte style etc etc…teka teka simple ba to?!?!? Joke lang

Okay, this will be the start of my career in cooking. I must explore more recipes and try it with more confidence, concentration and most importantly …with love. Charot!

Hmmm, baking na lang kaya?

Ano ba talaga!!!!

Early shopping...less hassle

It's true.

December is the busiest month of all. Shopping is happening everywhere, left and right. From malls to tiangge, every corner, every day laging me sale. Kaya we've decided to buy one at a time since October for our kids, inaanak and friends. You'll find good deals while doing your advance shopping and this idea can save you money, strength and wrinkles.

Here are some of our loots...
bought this at CLC Store in Bulacan...i love the message <3
Gap Kids shirt, the striped red and white, is a pasalubong from my sister two months ago for my youngest doooohter. Sniper elite is for my only boy, B. The Peppermint was purchased during the SM Sale last month and the A&F blue polo shirt is the latest, all for my eldest doooohter.
Gap: pasalubong, Sniper: Php 250, Peppermint: Php 400, A&F: Php 250
Two weeks ago, we braved the crowds at warehouse bodega sale in South just to buy shoes for our kids. But still we weren't able to buy a pair for my eldest dooohter, sobrang daming tao na.
Left: from SM, sale yan for only Php 299.95, Right: bodega sale din
for my youngest dooohter, Php 1, 200.00
nakaka gwapong suotin, para sa only boy ko, B. oops, sale din yan, promise...around Php 1, 500.00
We've bought also toys for the sandamakmak na inaanak and I wouldn't post it in here na lang the photos at baka makita pa nila, hindi na surprised di ba?

And one thing pa pala, when you have kids with you while you're doing your shopping, masisira ang budget mo once they ask you to buy something for them. BUT, we always tell them that there's no occasion pa to buy them anything they like, lalo na pag toys. Pero pag talagang minsan makukulit, we make sure that the budget for the toys is around Php 100 lang per head (Php 300 din pala un in total, anak ng teteng!)

Good thing sale ang Kookoo Kennel, Kookoo Birds and Halo War action figure that time.

Pasok sa budget.
Yes, we still have things to buy pa like jeans for the kids. Malapit na kasi Christmas Party nila and ang naka complete lang ng get-up is my youngest dooohter, kasi the jeans she's gonna wear is the one that her ate owns when she was in Grade 2. O di ba, ang thrifty ni mommy. Eh sayang naman kasi eh.

Here's the proof.
hand-me-down maong pants...<3
Long wait on line to the cashier actually is not yet over for us. But we are much happier with these purchased items we have, atleast nabawasan ang mga bibilhin.

Ako na...ako na ang reyna ng sale <3

Charot ...
