I Survived the 5km Fun Run...

Yes, we did it!

We were able to run the 5km marathon last Sunday in Canlubang that was sponsored by the San Sebastian College-Recolletos and in partners with Gardenia, Suzuki and Morning Fields Carmeltown.

The kids and I woke up as early as 4am. Once they are all prepared, ginising na rin si H. By 5am, along with the 2 kids of our neighbor (who is also joining the marathon), we left the house using our van. Shocking! The father of the two kids na kasama namin lend us their own car to use. The mister took the driving. Akala nga naming late na kami kasi ang gunstart should be 6am as indicated at the leaflets.

Ang daming participants! Mga pulis, employees of different companies, students and outsiders. Ang saya!

We go straight to the registration booth to claim our shinglet and number. We left my three kids at the side of the school building with the other kids there. Ang lamig talaga, ano? Buti na lang we have our jackets on.
After the introduction and welcoming the participants on stage, nag Zumba moment muna to do some stretching and gisingin ang mga natutulog na taba este katawan. Everbody are all smiling, all of us are very excited, ang saya ng feelings kahit di mo kilala sila. He he he.

Then, gun start na!

Waaaah!

5km ba? Pero di ako pwedeng tumigil kasi lahat even the oldies and fat ones are trying their best to run kahit in slow motion. Hala, naiwan na ako ni hubby, waaah. Pero madami pa rin namang nasa likod ko kaya I’m not that worried na mahuli sa finish line.

After the first lap nasalubong na namin ang mga kapulisan going to the finish line! Anak ng teteng! Pero sa kakisigan nila, it is inevitable that they will finish it in time.

Go, go, go!...Takbo pa rin, madami naman pa kami eh.

And now..tadaaaaan! Finish line!!! Yahooooo! I SURVIVE!

We go straight to the canteen to eat while smiling from ears to ears.

Actually me free food and drinks sa booth pero we opted not to get one sa sobrang haba ng pila. There’s also a two photobooth free for everyone, carts selling pica-pica foods and drinks, displayed motors of different models from Suzuki to attract buyers and a big Gardenia balloon standing at the ground. Very festive ang school. Buti na lang kasama mga junakis ko.
Kahit di sila tumakbo atleast they were able to experience this kind of events at big school .

Haaay, thank God for this wonderful event. Thank God for all the participants who are all friendly and supportive to everyone else. Thank God for being healthy. Thank God for the opportunities.

And again…Thank You, Papa God to all.

Next marathon?
